Rooted in Research

Green Remedies Group is an Arkansas-based holding company with 100% ownership of vertically integrated companies in industrial hemp and medical cannabis.

Since the November 2016 election, we have been working every day to be among the first on the ground when medical grade cannabis became legal in Arkansas. An Arkansas Department of Agriculture research pilot gave us the green light to get growing.

Our research is rooted in the potential of the cannabis plant family to treat medical conditions, including chronic pain, arthritis, epilepsy, anxiety, depression, insomnia and opioid addiction. With ongoing research programs at the University of Arkansas and Northwestern State in Oklahoma, Green Remedies is a leader in the field.

Room to Grow

It doesn’t take much digging into our healthcare system to realize we can do better. We believe health and wellness should be available and affordable for everyone.

The U.S. spends more on prescription medication than any other country. According to a 2017 study in Consumer Reports, 55% of Americans take prescription drugs regularly – and more than ever (on average, four a day). Among the medical conditions: anxiety, depression, insomnia, epilepsy, chronic pain and arthritis, all manageable with CBD.

Our strategy for keeping costs low for consumers starts with keeping operating costs low across all stages of hemp cultivation and product refinement in our three, 5,000-SF facilities on a 60-acre farm in Birdtown, Arkansas. Partnering with other leaders in the field, including Oklahoma- and California-based companies, we will provide high quality, low cost raw ingredients to world-class compound pharmacists, product formulators and consumer product manufacturers.

Green Remedies Group is on a mission to provide high quality industrial hemp for CBD and medical cannabis-derived products at a low cost. And it all starts with a seed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Working in a growing industry, here are a few frequently asked questions we field daily. Send us a message with any questions you may have.

What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a chemical compound from the cannabis plant. It's a naturally occurring substance used in products like oils and edibles for its medicinal properties. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it’s not psychoactive. The plant Cannabis sativa has two primary species, hemp and marijuana. Both contain CBD, but there’s a much higher percentage in hemp, which also has very low levels of THC compared to marijuana.

Is it legal?
Yes. On December 20, 2018, the Farm Bill, or Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, was signed into law. Among other things, this new law changes certain federal regulations relating to the production and marketing of hemp, defined as cannabis, and derivatives of cannabis with extremely low (less than 0.3%) concentrations of THC. These changes include removing hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, which means that it will no longer be an illegal substance under federal law. Now legal under federal law, it is up to each state to set their own policies.

What does CBD do?
Studies show that CBD can treat a variety of medical conditions, including anxiety, chronic pain and insomnia, and the strongest evidence is its effectiveness in treating epilepsy. The FDA recently approved the first-ever cannabis-derived prescription version of CBD for epilepsy called Epidiolex.

What products does Green Remedies offer?
Tinctures, topical creams, oils, capsules, shatters, waxes, gummies, chocolates and rolled Hawg Legs.

Where can I buy them?
Green Remedies has a pending medical cannabis dispensary license in Zone 6 in Arkansas, where only 40 licenses will be awarded in the state. Our vision is a boutique experience with an in-house grow operation led by our exclusive Cannabis Cup Winner partner. We will also have a license to transport and deliver our products to patients all across the state. Some of our products will also be available online.
